Hands down, this is the most upscale Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere, presentation, and quality set the tone for something special. The buffet was next level—delectable, fresh, and thoughtfully curated. There was a plethora of vegetarian options (a huge win for me), and I loved how they had a live station churning out hot, fresh naan and other savory delights right on the spot. You could taste the freshness in every bite. What made this place shine for me was not just the variety, but the flavor and balance in every dish. I honestly can’t name a favorite—it was that good. Even the mint chutney, which I normally have to ask extra for, was self-serve and abundant. They truly thought of everything. The fresh fruit section and dessert bar were the perfect finish—offering unique Indian sweets I had never tried before. Every bite felt like a new discovery. If I had to mention one small takeaway (not a con, just a curiosity): I didn’t see mango pickle, which I usually love. But in its place was a red, peppery, vinegary side that ended up being just as delightful. In all honesty, this place is the 5th Element. A must-visit, whether you're coming for the buffet or a sit-down dinner. Highly recommend.

Love the buffet here. There was no wait for a table, all the entrees were hot and fresh. Loved the self serve mango ice cream soft serve. Also, Patel Market is next door so it is a must stop when I am near Bay Meadows.

This was a great experience for my first time at this restaurant. The staff made us feel incredibly welcome and guided us through the menu. They took the time to explain each dish and made excellent recommendations based on our tastes. The chicken curry was phenomenal — full of bold flavors/spices and the mango lassi was a sweet tasty drink. I will definitely be back in the future!

We visited 5th Element Taste of India earlier this month and the experience was just fabulous! The restaurant is well decorated and laid out, an inviting setting with with very nice atmosphere. We were greeted promptly and seated, with our waiter RK Naidu readily taking our drink orders from a great selection of beers, including my favorite King Fisher, and the lighter crisper Taj Mahal, favored by my wife. We ordered some of our favorite dishes and the appetizers, the naan and the entrees were all absolutely delicious! What stood out was the Baingan Bharta, a roasted eggplant dish that I love and have actually made myself. The 5th Element chef prepared it perfectly and it was a delightful accompaniment to the other dishes we ordered. Everything was perfect and RK was charming and very attentive waiting on our needs. I look forward to going back to 5th Element Taste of India and I am pleased to give the restaurant 5 enthusiastic stars. Well done!

This was my husband and my second time having Indian food. We tried a lot of different items on the menu, and we were both very pleased! It was a great experience, the food was so good, and it was a nice place to sit while having our meal.

My family and l really enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. All the servers were extremely polite and accommodating. I had the chicken briyani which is a heaping bowl of saffron rice, chicken with two sauces. I ate everything but the cloves! We will definitely return to eat here and try the buffet. I was told it's 16.99 through the week and 20 on the weekends.
